It is hard to believe that we are already starting the 3rd Six-Weeks. Report cards for the 2nd Six-Weeks will be issued on Wednesday.
Monday is a big day for our Volleyball Team. Good luck to them as they travel all the way to Fort Stockton to face Fort Hancock.
On Tuesday the students will participate in a mock election.
Students will be taking the ACT this week. Mrs. K is giving one of her superb review sessions on Tuesday from 6-9. Anyone that is testing is encouraged to attend.
Friday will be the last home football game for the season.

Miles ISD will have a lockdown drill on Monday. Our goal is to make the campus the safest place it can be. Thursday will be the end of the six-weeks. Make sure that your are checking your child's student portal. We will also have a send off for Kambry Schniers on Thursday at 8 a.m. as she leaves to compete at the State Cross-country Meet. Thursday, students will be allowed to dress up for the Black-out pep rally. Please make sure that your student follows the attached guidelines.

We will see you at the Fall Festival on Saturday from 5pm-7pm.

Parents and Students-This week will be the 5th week of the six-weeks. This would be a great time to check the portal and make sure grades are where they need to be. The next two weeks will go by in a flash. We will have our first lockdown drill on Monday 10/28. We will meet with the Junior High and the High School this week to discuss the upcoming drill. Please know that we want your student to feel safe at school. Students will take pictures on Thursday.



Miles ISD has planted the baseball and softball fields with rye grass on Wednesday, you can help by remaining off the fields until the grass has taken root.

This evening, Oct. 16, at 6:00 at the St Thomas Parrish Hall, Miles ISD will hold a second community bond meeting. During this meeting you will learn of the projects that are planned and learn about funding for these projects. I look forward to answering questions that you may have. I encourage you to come by and be informed!

Enjoy the long weekend. Good luck to Football tonight and Volleyball tomorrow. Also, the Bulldog Band will be performing at San Angelo Stadium at 10 a.m. Saturday. It is a fun show if you have not seen it yet. Juniors will be going to San Angelo Wednesday morning. Help them remember to return their permission slips.

We are trying to revive a tradition at MHS by holding a blood drive this week. We have had a positive response from the students, but also want to open it up to parents. There is a link to register on the Weekly and there is an informational sheet attached also.
Wednesday evening will be busy. Many of our students will be attending Field of Faith in San Angelo. Two of our students: Austin and EJ will be featured speakers. That same night there will be a Public Bond Meeting in the Junior High Cafeteria at 6 p.m.
Thursday we will have our first ever Hispanic Heritage Fashion show at 2:17 in the auditorium.
Report cards should be returned by Monday.
