Thanks to everyone that helped us have a great Homecoming. Next week is the last week of the 1st Six-Weeks. This report card will determine UIL eligibility so this would be a great time to check student portal and clean-up any missing assignments. Monday during Level-UP students will be taking down all of the Homecoming decorations. Wednesday will be the Bob Fuller Cross-Country Meet, here at Miles. Friday will be a student holiday/staff workday. Have fun at Cotton Fest.

Please see the attached link for parking directions for the Miles vs Sterling City game on Sept. 6, 2024. At the present moment, Miles ISD plans to return to school tomorrow at regular time. Buses will run on pavement only. Miles ISD will not cross any blocked off road, therefore, if you live in those areas,as a parent, you may choose to bring your child to school or stay home, that will be a family decision. We will keep you updated. Ty Stevens

From the cafeteria: Tuesday's breakfast and lunch menu will be served on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be as planned on the menu. Stay dry!

We hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend. With Dove Season opening, it is always a good idea to remind everyone to make sure that all weapons, ammo and spent shells are removed from vehicles prior to coming on campus. We will see you on Tuesday.

Miles ISD will conduct a Board Election on November 5, 2024. There are 2 full term elected positions available for this years election, therefore you will vote for two candidates to serve on the Board. Volleyball , football and cross country will all be in action this week. We will also have Beginning of the Year Benchmarks in Biology and 8th Grade Science. Homecoming Nominations will open on Wednesday and be closed on Thursday. We will have our first Pep rally, but it will be early, 12:37, since the football team has to travel to Sonora. Since we are 3 weeks in, this would be a good time to remind parents to check grades on parent portal. Finally, next weekend will be a long weekend, Labor Day, for the staff and students. There will be no school on Monday 9/2. Have a great weekend.
