Calling all HIGH SCHOOL students who are taking DUAL CREDIT classes with Howard College. There will be a parent & student training on Wednesday, August 18. This is also open to any HS student interested in learning more details about taking dual credit classes in the future.

This is an updated and correct football schedule. The one that appeared earlier today has since been modified. Changes include the scrimmage date at Winters. It is 8/19 not 8/20. The game time at Coleman is 7:00pm not 7:30pm. Also note the game time at Cross Plains is 7:00pm.

**Attention HS Volleyball Players & Girls/NON-football Boys Cross Country Runners**
Mandatory practice begins Monday, August 2nd with the following schedule:
Week 1 -
Volleyball
Monday-Thursday 7:00-9:00 AM & 11:00 AM-1:30 PM
Friday 7:00-9:00 AM & 3:00-5:00 PM
Cross Country
Monday-Friday 7:00-8:00 AM
There will be a HS girls fall sport parent/athlete meeting on Monday Aug 2nd at 5:30 PM in the gym to go over season expectations and answer questions.

In order to receive a tee shirt and football at football camp, the deadline has been extended until noon tomorrow, July 20th!!
You can continue to sign up all the way through camp date, but won’t receive the shirt or ball. Questions: call Coach Wilhelm at 325 939-1717.

Open enrollment will begin on August 4th for new students. The office will be open from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. You will need the following to enroll:
Driver's Licences or other proof of identity
Original Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Two proofs of address, such as a utility bill, rental agreement
immunization records
Any other records from the previous school

Attention ALL GIRL Athlete Parent/Guardians:
-If your daughter will be in ATHLETICS this year, please add yourself to the appropriate Remind Group. For JH, text @milesjhg to 81010, or for HS, text @mileshsg to 81010.

-If your daughter will be in VOLLEYBALL this year, please view the attached flyer and order before July 12th. The game spandex and travel shirt are mandatory for all volleyball girls 7th-12th, and the rest is optional. You may order more than one pair of any item. This store will close on July 12th to ensure that we have everything here before season starts.
-If your daughter will be a HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL PLAYER this year, two-a-days starts August 2nd and is mandatory for all incoming high school volleyball players. You will be receiving a detailed schedule of practices soon.

Miles Elementary is excited to announce our new teachers for the 2021-2022 school year! Pictured on the left is Misti Dunlap, she will be teaching 4th Grade ELAR. She previously taught at Comal ISD in New Braunfels.
Charlsi Rivero is pictured in the middle. She will be teaching 5th grade Math and Science. She previously taught in San Angelo ISD at Fannin Elementary where she taught 5th grade Math and Science.
Pictured on the right is Laci Rathmell. Laci previously taught at Bronte ISD in 2nd grade and graduated in the Fall from ASU and she is also a Miles ISD Alumni!

We had a great day of professional development today.





On Thursday June 24th we will be at the State 7on7 tournament in College Station watching our Bulldogs compete for a state championship!! We will ONLY have the 7:00am session for this day only.
Reminder: This week the girls are 7:00am only. The boys will have 7 and 9 tomorrow and Wednesday. Next week we are closing leading up to the July 4th holiday. We will resume Monday July 5th.
Our younger kids are showing up in big numbers! Need more participation (LEADERSHIP) from the juniors and seniors!! Home gyms and memberships elsewhere is all good, But TOGETHER wins CHAMPIONSHIPS!!


ATTENTION High School Students - We have taken out the required study hall and blocked a time in the school day for RISE. RISE will be blocked for tutorials, event practice time, and study hall. Due to this change, ALL high school students need to select a replacement course for study hall. Please email becky.osbourn@milesisd.net stating your name, grade, and the course you wish to put in place of study hall by end of day Wednesday, June 16th.
