Good Afternoon,
Governor Abbott issued an executive order that lifts the mask mandate and other COVID-19 restrictions beginning Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Texas school districts expect further guidance from the Texas Education Agency regarding masks in public schools within the next few days. MISD will also consider guidance from the CDC and our local health authorities. Until further notice, MISD will continue its current mitigation efforts including the wearing of face coverings.
The Game Times and opponents for this weekends Baseball Tournament in Anson/Hawley have changed again. Here is the updated schedule

Times for the Hawley Baseball Tournament this weekend have changed. We will play Ballinger At 10:00 am on Thursday in Anson then play Brady at 4:00 in Anson. We will play at 10:00 vs Cisco in Hawley on Friday. And finish up playing at 1:00 on Sat in Hawley vs Comanche.

In the Sonora tournament today the Lady Bulldogs beat TLCA 27 to 3 and Beat Harper 18 to 3. Way to go Lady Bulldogs! We play Ozona 2 at 3:15!
Date Change for Booster Club Meeting - Due to the One Act Play Community meal, the Booster Club Meeting has been changed to Sunday, February 28th at 6:00 pm.
The first softball district game is Tuesday, March, 2nd. The game will be played in Miles at 5:00pm instead of Santa Anna.
We are excited to welcome GNUE University student teachers from Korea. We are sad they can not join in person, but excited they are joining us through zoom.
Congratulations to Brayden Dunlap for being selected to the TSWA 2A All State Football Team as a running back!!! This includes players from both 2A Div. I and Div. II.

We don't play Thursday. Friday v. TLCA @ 9:00, v. Harper @ 1:00, v. Ozona @ 3:15. Saturday will be one game. Time will be determined on Friday's results.

Cheer Tryout meeting rescheduled to tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 22nd at 7pm. (I apologize for the short notice but I am not feeling well)
JH/HS student weekly is posted. We are ready to get rolling again and are thankful Storm Uri is behind us! We have LOTS scheduled and this is now a 5 week 6 weeks. Students, be sure to plan ahead and tackle the work early!
I will have the Playoff Shirts at the gym at 9:00 am tomorrow if you would like to come pick yours up before the game. Thanks again.
Due to the weather and roads, our playoff game tomorrow has been moved to a 4:00 pm start time. Again, 4:00pm vs Wink in Big Spring. Be safe and come out and support the Bulldogs. We will wear red so let’s RED OUT the gym. Thanks
As of right now, the Boys Basketball Playoff Game tomorrow in Big Spring at 6:00pm vs Wink is still on. If something changes between now and then I will update. But we are planning to play the game as planned. Thanks.
Reagan County softball tournament has been cancelled. (Feb. 18-20).

Miles ISD will remain closed through Friday, February 19, 2021 due to lack of electricity, gas, and water. Road conditions in certain areas are also a concern.
School will re-open on Monday, February 22, 2021. Buses will run as normal.
